The Design and Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCoI), wish to contract a dynamic project manager whose key responsibilities will be the development of a sponsorship and funding strategy for DCCoI.

Contract Specification

Funding and Sponsorship Manager
Reporting To: Head of Innovation & Development Programmes
Location: Contractor may work remotely but will be required to report from time to time in person to the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland at Castle Yard, Kilkenny. Role will involve national and international travel.
Duration: Part-time contract to 2020 (circa 130 days annually dependant on availability of funding and organisational requirements).
Contract Type: Independent Contractor

Key responsibilities:

  • The development of a sponsorship and funding strategy for DCCoI
  • The management of applications to EU funding programmes
  • Securing funding through sponsorship and other sources


  • Excellent understanding of current DCCoI strategy and programmes.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of the spectrum of EU funding programmes.
  • Demonstrable experience in securing EU and other types of funding.
  • Contacts at policy level and with DGs within the EU.
  • Excellent organisational and project management, communication and public relations skills.
  • Excellent people and interpersonal skills with the ability to work on one’s own initiative and in teams.
  • Ability to manage and devise action plans and workflows to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
  • Driving license and own transport.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
