QEST Apprenticeship Scheme 2017

Posted 03.05.17

Do you need apprenticeship funding? The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST), the charitable arm of The Royal Warrant Holders Association, runs a Scheme to help emerging craftspeople to excel in their careers. The Scheme is targeted at young, aspiring – but inexperienced – craftspeople.

QEST will fund up to £18,000 over three years to companies wishing to hire a craft apprentice. The next round of applications will be open from June to August, with interviews held in the Autumn.

Eligibility and requirements:

  • Funding can go towards equipment, training or helping provide the living wage
  • Apprentices and Employers must apply together as a team
  • Apprenticeships must be for a specific craft skill, with clear training plans and milestones
  • Only companies demonstrating a clear financial need will be considered.

Don’t have an apprentice? Sign up to the QEST Craft Apprenticeship Hub - bridging the gap between young people seeking a craft apprenticeship and companies looking to hire committed and aspiring craftspeople
