Architectural art glass designer and maker, Bianca Divito, has relocated her stained glass studio to the quiet village of Coolgreany Co.Wexford. On successful completion of a BA(Hons) Architectural Stained Glass, Bianca won the coveted “Award of Excellence” 04/05 offered by the Glaziers Company, London, which helped her to work for forty weeks in some of the most prestigious contemporary glass studios across the UK and Continental Europe. Bianca Divito Art Glass specialises in working with glass, an innovative contemporary medium, which transfers light, entrances space and creates ambience. Bianca creates original designs by using a variety of decorative techniques including: sand blasting, fusing and slumping techniques, glass painting and staining, use of semi precious and healing stones in her work, acid etching and glass bonding. Bianca endeavours to undertake wide and varied glass commissions varying in size from the small domestic and giftware markets to larger commercial and public art projects. From her work abroad she has built up relations with two leading architectural glass studios in Germany, Glasmalerei Peters Studio in Paderborn and Derix Glass Studio in Taunussstein. “Good design and good workmanship are integral to my pieces. Everything I produce is made to the best of my ability and customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to me”, commented Bianca when speaking of her work.
