Clare is a hand weaver in her own studio in Donegal. A current speciality is a unique range of designer scarves, using such yarns as Donegal tweed creating a traditional scarf with a modern twist of vibrancy in its colour. Vibrant tweed cloth is created, being used for tablewear and accessories. Natural dyes and explored using dyes as indigo, logwood, cochnineal etc. . . I am inspired by unusual textures and the use of colour. I use a technique of handknotting in modern synthetic yarns to create an alternative for those whom are alergic to wool. Tapestries are created freehand using hand carded fleece, these are pictorial and abstract in their design.
