Researching about certail subjects provides the background of my work, from where the process of designing and modelling starts. My latest work is based on a research for a symbolic form that represents the source and essence of all things, I initially have chosen the dodecahedron as the base for my body of work. Explored, recreated and manipulated it finally unfolds to simple, contrasting frames, flexible and foldable through elaborated insetted hinges. From that point the works developed on the one hand into focussing on the impact of time, the contrast between old traditions and advanced progress, and on the other hand exploring the balance and contrast of life in between structural frameworks. I believe in one of a kind. Jewels like people are particular and unique. I create pieces that belong to larger families, but always keep their own charm and character.
