Profile
Louise specialises in surface pattern textile paintings. She originally trained and worked in the graphic design and marketing industry but now spends the majority of her time working as a freelance textile artist and creates one-off original pieces of art in her Dublin studio. Combining the medium of wax resist and dye with hand-painting methods, she enjoys immersing herself in this technique and finds the results of this craft quite rewarding. Her art is vibrant and contemporary in style and she gets inspiration from nature, wildlife, floral detail, architecture and the Irish landscape. Louise’s work comes in a variety of sizes and is also available in large scale pieces for the corporate and world-wide marketplace. She also has experience in other areas of crafts such as ceramics.
