DCCoI hosts AGM and launches the organisation’s Annual Report 2018
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCoI) took place on Tuesday 11 June 2019 at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, Dublin.
The attending representatives of DCCoI’s member organisations were welcomed by DCCoI Chair Breege O’Donoghue who presented the Directors’ Report for the year ended 31 December 2018. Crowe Ireland presented the Auditors’ Report for 2018 and the Audited Accounts were formally adopted.
DCCoI’s Annual Report 2018, which is now available to view on ISSUU, contains updates on activities across the organisation and the financial statements for the year. Chief Executive Karen Hennessy presented an update on highlights of activities during 2018.
A seminar, Creative Livelihoods, was planned to coincide with the AGM and provide useful and relevant information to support the development of our member organisations. The purpose of the seminar was to:
- To highlight the value of the craft sector nationally
- To outline models of business and social engagement that work in rural contexts
- To raise awareness of international best practice in local contexts
- To explore the type of supports needed for business to thrive in rural environments
