I am engulfed in Showcase 2015 preparation at the minute, those last minute stand changes when something new hits you and you rush to the printers. Trying to make every little aspect of the stand whether its images or booklets work together and hope it represents your brand as well as you can achieve it! 2014 started off so amazingly on a high after winning the Overall Showcase Award for Best Product and also the Overall Showcase Award for Jewellery. You could have knocked me down with a feather. It is such a vote of confidence from DCCoI. There are so many incredible products at the show. The awards highlighted my jewels with a new stamp of approval when promoting my collections and were a brilliant business boost.

It proved a bonus in confidence too when making my workshop move to Dublin. It took ages to find the right place and as Wicklow Street is my favourite street in Dublin it was worth the wait. My main criteria was that the space would accommodate my pride and joy, my triple bench, and that I could leave the windows open and see the sky!

I have had some gorgeous commissions and so much support from customers and retailers. It suddenly became November and the bench was busy 24/7. December flew in with a quick rest with family before getting back to the workshop. Showcase always allows you to throw a very critical eye over your year, exactly when you need to do it in January! New designs revealed and hoping they get a great response at the show. Who knows what 2015 will bring.
