Jodie White

Jodie White

Jodie White was first introduced to working in metals while studying at Grennan Mill Craft School in Thomastown, Kilkenny. She went on to study Jewellery & Art Metalcraft in St. John’s Central College, Cork and later interned at Fitzgerald Jewelry, Brooklyn, New York before returning to Kilkenny to begin the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland’s (DCCoI) Jewellery & Goldsmithing Course. She was one of four students chosen to display her commercial collection, Dulaman, in the Kilkenny Shop on Nassau Street, Dublin in September 2019. After graduation, Jodie will work for Yvonne Ross, a Jewellery & Goldsmithing Course graduate who established a successful business in Kilkenny after training with DCCoI. During the course, Jodie challenged her making skills and design aesthetic by producing work that is both geometric and organic. This challenge forced her to problem solve and develop an ability to construct complex designs.

“This course has provided me with access to a wide variety of jewellery making skills. Without it I would not have had the opportunity to develop such advanced skills and to experiment and nurture a personal design aesthetic.”
