Doireann O’Riordan has always been passionate about creative and extraordinary design. She was introduced to jewellery while studying Art and Crafts at St. John’s College in Cork. This led her to Wales to complete a BA in Applied Art specialising in jewellery. During this time, she also undertook an Erasmus placement in Finland. From Killarney, Doireann spent time working and travelling abroad before returning to Ireland to advance her technical skills. She joined the Workhouse Studios before being accepted onto the DCCoI course.

After graduation, Doireann aims to gain more experience working with goldsmiths at home or abroad. Ultimately, she is working towards setting up her own jewellery studio.

“There is a lot packed into this course and I have learned so much through the guidance and encouragement from all the tutors and everyone here at DCCoI.”
