She has always had an active interest in the arts and crafts and in 2015 she began a jewellery apprenticeship with Dani Bergman in Castlecomer. Magda specifically chose the DCCoI Jewellery and Goldsmithing Skills & Design Course to further her training and knowledge of precious metals. During the course, Magda received her Diamond Grading Practical Certificate from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and gained production and business knowledge through a placement with engraver and jeweller Don O’Mahony in Cork. In 2017, she was awarded 3rd place in the Royal-Stone Calendar 2018 contest through the Polish Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Upon graduating, Magda plans to further develop her skills within the jewellery industry in Ireland and abroad with the aim of setting up her own jewellery business.

"My aim is always to create a beautiful and intriguing piece of jewellery that has both a visual impact and personal significance to the wearer.”
