New work from 22 of Ireland’s designers and makers selected to show in the prestigious Design à Vivre section of Europe’s most important trade fair for the home
Design & Crafts Council of Ireland working with Ireland’s creative entrepreneurs to grow international opportunities
22 Irish designers and makers have been selected to showcase their new contemporary work in the prestigious Design à Vivre section at Maison & Objet, Paris which takes place 22 – 26 January 2016. Their new designs will be shown to the global audience of trade buyers from over 40 countries as part of the Design Ireland pavilion curated by the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCoI). Design Ireland (Hall 7, E176/F175) will feature work Designed and Made in Ireland across contemporary furniture and lighting, stone, glass, ceramics, wood and textiles.
New work featured in Design Ireland includes furniture from Aodh, Simon Doyle and Zelouf & Bell; ceramics from Adam Frew and Arran Street East; contemporary lighting from Mullan Lighting and déanta Design; glass from J. HILL’s Standard and Jerpoint Glass, wooden boards from Bunbury Boards and textiles from Mourne Textiles and Céadogan. Many of these designers are achieving international recognition following their participation in events around the world during 2015.
