DCCI’s Future Makers Awards & Supports 2020 | Deadline Extension
Tuesday 03 March 2020
The organisers of the Galway Potters Market, studio potters Juliet Ball and Tamaru Hunt-Joshi, are inviting studio potters and ceramic artists to apply to participate in this year’s Potters Market to be held at the Spanish Arch in Galway during the International Arts Festival.
This is the 10th anniversary of the Galway Potters Market, and also Galway is European Capital of Culture 2020, so this is a very exciting year for us!
For the past few years, the Galway Potters Market has proved a very popular and successful event. It provides studio potters and ceramic artists with a great sales opportunity: It has a very successful track record of direct sales. It is also an occasion to meet up and network with other ceramists in a friendly environment. For the public, the market provides an occasion to appreciate a wide variety of high quality pottery and ceramics, with the opportunity of interacting with the potters, see pottery throwing demonstrations and doing some clay modelling themselves at the free clay workshop.
