Exhibition opportunity for artists born or based in Kilkenny.

Open Call: Exhibition Proposal
Application Deadline: 17 May, 5pm

Kilkenny County Council Arts Office invites proposals for an exhibition in the Arts Office Gallery, Dean Street. Applicants are invited to adopt an experimental approach to exhibition making and to consider alternative ways to use and activate the gallery space. Submissions are particularly encouraged from artists who work in the fields of socially engaged or participatory art or those working with community groups. The exhibition will run from 22 June to 20 July 2019; with the gallery opening from Thursday to Saturday.

This opportunity is open to artists born or based in Kilkenny City and County.

The successful applicant will receive:

  • Artist fee of €500
  • Budget towards material costs
  • Curatorial support from the curator in residence, Leah Corbett
  • Technical support
  • Support from the Kilkenny Arts Office
  • Applications should include the following:

  • Artist CV and statement
  • Exhibition proposal
  • Images of work
  • Links to audio visual or film works (if applicable)

Submissions should be made to: Curator in Residence Leah Corbett at by 5pm on Friday, 17 May 2019.
